FAQs

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We currently in Lyra Health Network. We are an out-of-network provider for other carriers. All payments will be paid upfront and we can provide you with an invoice or super bill to get reimbursed from your insurance company. We recommend calling your insurance company directly to confirm your out-of-network coverage. Important questions to ask are, "What are my mental health benefits", "What is my deductible or what is my out-of-pocket max", and "Do you cover session code 90834?". Please contact us directly for more guidance. 

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

Individual Therapy and coaching sessions will be 50 minutes and are $150. Group therapy rates will be announced. There will be packages available to purchase. We will accept sliding scale clients please contact for more information. 

WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED?

Currently we accept debit, credit and electronic P2P payment options. 

WHAT IS CANCELLATION POLICY ?

We understand life happens. If there are extenuating circumstance this will be addressed on case by case basis. We require 24 business hours notice for cancellations. If not, you will be charged for the full fee of session.

WHAT DOES MY FIRST SESSION LOOK LIKE ?

You will receive an intake form that will be completed prior to your first session. We will meet on your first session and review information and discuss goals that you would like to address what you would like to work through. 

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST?

The length of time varies greatly between clients and is dependent on what issues they are working through and how long they’d like to spend in therapy. Our goal is to get you to a place where you are stable, empowered, and consistently applying tools to maintain your freedom.

HOW DOES CONFIDENTIALITY WORK?

What is said during a therapy session is completely confidential with three exceptions: 1) if a child or elder is in danger, 2) if you are in danger of harming yourself, or 3) if you are planning on harming another person. We will continually address confidentiality through our process together. 

IS THERE PARKING?

We are located in the heart of downtown Oakland. Metered street parking is available on 17th street as well as on Telegraph Avenue if front of practice. Latham square parking garage is located across from office. Bart has 2 locations located conveniently 1 block from the office.

WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?

Monday-Friday from 8am-7pm PST. Please note: If you contact office via phone or email please allow one business day for response.
